Diaper genie ?

I bought a diaper genie even though I knew I wanted to use cloth diapers but anyway the reason I bought it was bc I figured I would not know for sure what would be best until my baby gets here. I def still want to use cloth diapers but can I still use my diaper genie for keeping the bad smell away until I wash it?
