What is the benefit in an alcoholic beer over a non alcoholic beer? (read more detail section)?

Presume you have two drinks in front of view. Both of them have all the exact same substances in them except ethanol. They both have the same flavourings so presumably they would taste the same right. So then I have to ask why do so many people choose the alcoholic drink instead. What is the difference between the two? Is there a difference between the taste of the two, after taste or what. What is the benefit of adding the ethanol.
