How much computer memory would it use ?

i am thinking abut buying GTA 4 on PC I do have a mac but I could just use boot camp but anyway i am thinking moding GTA 4 for PC so I can use the different cars. How much memory would it take up to mod? Also can you connect your PS3 controller up to the computer and us that?
