Is Mandarin used in Shanghai?

Wu is the native language of Shanghai, but most of the population will know Mandarin as a second language. Wikipedia is right. Mandarin is not "the language of mainland China", it is the official language of China and the native language spoken by most of the mainland population of the north of China, but it is not the only Chinese language. Wu has millions of speakers including Shanghai.
