My Fingers Are Numbing For No Reason?

If you are over 30 and diabetes runs in your family, I'd definitely ask the doctor to draw what's called a hemoglobin A1C. It will tell if you are diabetic. Your regular blood work may be normal, but that doesn't measure what your blood sugar is doing all day, especially right after eating. This test does. One symptom of diabetes is peripheral neuropathy and that is numbness of the fingers and/or toes due to high blood sugars destroying the small nerve endings. It can also be painful. Best to find out now, it can do other damage, too such as to the eyes and kidneys . Its a simple blood test, very worthwhile .
