Need Fail Safe Coolant for 1994 LT1 camaro m6?

i have a 1994 camaro z28 six speed. 172000 miles. had water pump gasket leak. had a hose explode due to air. ( inexperience on my part but i learned ) and a few clamps needing tightened. anyways i understand that coolant isnt just a barrier for freeze and boil. its also a mineral protective solution. i was stupid and went to advance auto and bought gm dex cool extended life 50/50 antifreeze. through further reading i find that gm has been sued over this coolant through certain plastics and gaskets. so now im nervous and from doing all the work on my car for replacing hoses and gaskets i feel i made a terrible decision. will someone confidently suggest a PERFECTLY SAFE type of coolant that will last and protect my system for as long as possible. uhm. if it helps the previous owner went to pepboys to have the whole cooling system restored. its got new hc new rad new pump some new hoses new thermostat and all that. the coolant that was in it was red. idk exactly what type it was but on the bleeder valve i was finding a goo sludge emerging from one of the hoses. idk if thats from the red coolant that was in it or from portions of prestone i added to top off tank when i lost some from leaks. anyways someone please suggest the type of coolant that IS THE SHIZ NIT. and what you think of it and how it works and everything u got on it please.
